About

Welcome everyone.

I've been on the Internet pretty much from day one, and have had a very active Web site--bythom.com--for well over a decade now. As part of making sense of my sprawling Web presence, I’ve now launched this new site, dedicated to archiving my coverage of the Nikon film SLR cameras.

Most of the items you've find on this site are reformatted and re-edited versions of what appeared originally on bythom.com. As it turns out, there was a fair amount of film content on the old bythom site, but it wasn't visible once it was buried by all the digital camera stuff I wrote.

This site uses a menu system to help you navigate all the content here. You'll find that tab-like menu system in the bar near the top of the page. Some sub-menus can get long and might scroll off small displays, but you can usually click (or tap) on a higher level menu; these usually contain links to the lower levels.

This site is supported through Advertising or your use of Affiliate Links (see this explanation for the full details). Let me thank you in advance for your continued use of these sponsor links.

While there's a News/Views section, I don't expect it to put a lot of new material in it. Still, every now and again there's something relevant that warrants a news story, so if you're interested in that, click the RSS feed on that page to keep updated.

I hope you enjoy this new site, and let me know how I’m doing from time to time.

Help me improve this site! If you find incorrect or incomplete information, be sure to let me know. Just fill out the form on the Contact page and let me know what you found.
