You might have noticed that this site has no advertising. That means that are no ad trackers that lurk behind the scenes. Likewise, no affiliate links appear on these pages. This site is solely supported by sales of Thom’s Complete Guide series of books.

That said, we do have a few things to talk about in terms of your privacy.

• If you order a book from this site, obviously we have to collect and track some information, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to collect your payment or deliver it to you. We use PayPal as our credit card processor, and E-Junkie as our book download service. You can find PayPal’s privacy statement at PAYPAL PRIVACY, and E-Junkie’s at EJUNKIE PRIVACY.
• When you do order a book from us, we add you to the byThom email list, though we only retain your name, country, email address, and what you ordered. At present we do not use this list to send you any emails other than those associated with the product you ordered (including any book updates). Should that policy change, we will notify you and give you the option to opt out.
• This site uses Google fonts. However, we self-host those fonts, which means that no information is shared with Google.

In general, our goal is to be as reader friendly as possible, and not be a repository or distributor of information about you. We are not in the business of selling you. We are in the business of informing you. We do our best to keep that straight.
